We ended up choosing So... we decided to do the goofy touristy thing at least once on our Honeymoon, and we scheduled a tour with these folks. We ended up choosing "the Grand Circle Island Tour with Kualoa Ranch & Dole Pineapple Plantation" tour. I was honestly skeptical about it because neither my wife nor I are "bus tour" kinda people. We're the "cruise the island on our own and go where the locals go" kinda people. Well, I was wrong in my skepticism... at least this time. We got on the bus and we were greeted by our driver/guide... Keau (kay-ow). From the moment we got on the bus, until the time we ended the tour back at our hotel 10 hours later ("a ten hour tour" plays in the background to the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme song), Keau had us smiling, laughing, and having a great time. He was informative, personable, and HILARIOUS. He mentioned he's been with the company for 24 years. Well, I can see why. He's excellent at his job. You can tell he loves it, and after getting to know the guy, if he's worked at a company for 24 years, I know it's got to be a great company to deal with. So I feel even better about doing the tour with them instead of one of the many other tour companies on the Island (one of whom, we dealt with and did not have the same pleasant experience). It was seriously one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii and we're thankful we did the tour. You will be too. |

If you're visiting Hawaii for
If you're visiting Hawaii for the first time, I would recommend taking the Grand Island Circle Tour. It is air-conditioned and the tour guides are very informative. It is a good way to do some sight-seeing without having to do the actual driving and navigating.
This is a great tour
This is a great tour company...I went to the activity desk at my hotel in waikiki an was talked into the circele island tour ...and ended up loving it!!!!!!! I learned so much more then if I'd have rented a car...because the guide knew so much an took us places...I would have never found in a car!!!! The roads here are not well maked an I was worriesd about getting lost an being out after dark an not being able to read the street signs!!!!! I had the best luck booking things from my hotel activity desk!!!!! The agent told us a bunch of things to do an saved us a bunch of $$$$$$!!!!!

As residents of Maui we had
As residents of Maui we had only visited Waikiki, but wanted to see the rest of the island of Oahu in a limited time, so we chose the Grand Circle Island Tour by Polynesian Adventure Tours and it was EXCELLENT! The tour started with a pick-up at our hotel and proceeded counter clockwise around the island. Our driver was a long time Oahu resident and he was a wealth of knowledge. I learned more about Hawaii on that tour, than I did living on Maui for 4 years! We stopped at many beautiful locations and famous points of interest as mentioned in the tour information. This is a tour that will not disappoint and I highly recommend it!
We have taken this tour
We have taken this tour twice. Once in 2004 and again in May 2009. This is an excellent tour. If you are a 1st time visitor to Oahu it's a great tour to see all the sights in one day. You can then choose which parts of the island you would like to explore in your own time and drive back later in your vacation. There are 7-8 stops along the way with some excellent photo opportunities. On the tour we recently did we stopped at a ranch for a buffet lunch (very nice) Great views of Chinamans Hat (walk across the road from the rance to the beach and you will get some great photo op's. The only negative would be your last stop, Dole Pineapple Plantation, which is boring... I'd rather spend a little more time at other stops along the way. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.
I booked on 2 tours with this
I booked on 2 tours with this company on Oahu.
The trips were the Grand Scenic Island tour and also Pearl harbor , Punchbowl and Honolulu City tour. The Island Tour was a long day but was perfect. We traveled all the way upto the North shore , stopping at Hnauma Bay , Blow Hole , Buddist Temple , Pali Lookout, Kualoa Ranch , macadamia place , Sunset Beach and Dole plantation. The views and locations were second to none. Also , our guide Garfield was one of the nicest guys you could meet who made the trip even more interesting. Highly recommended. The 2nd trip to Pearl Harbor , Punchbowl and Honolulu was also very good but not as long as the Island trip. again the guide , Ginsen was Fab.
Superb Tour! My partner and I
Superb Tour!
My partner and I went on the Grand Circle Tour on Oahu at the end of June, 2010. Having been on coach tours in other places we expected the day to go quite slow. However, our guide Ed was excellent! His tour was very informative and he also kept us entertained with his sense of humour. Our 8 hour tour only felt like it was 2 or 3 hours long I could have stayed longer! We visited looks of beautiful places on the tour. Thanks again Ed!

Our driver Wes was fabulous! We had a great time and for the money - it was $$ well spent for the whole day event. Highlights being Haunama Bay and Sunset Beach .. absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks so much Wes!

Special Thanks
This is the first time we have been to Hawaii and the main reason for was to visit Pearl Harbour. Our guide for the day was Garfield who provided us with an informative and most enjoyable tour demonstrating his avid passion for his culture which was evident throughout our day! We have been on other tours throughout our US holiday but this one was by far the standout and this is attributed to Garfield's professionalism, sound rapport with all tourists and his thorough knowledge the local history. He is to be commended and is a real asset to your company. We will be recommending your tour company to our friends "Down Under" and when we return - which will be in the near future we will be certain to contact you again. "Garfield you are a champion" keep up the good work!!
My Polynesian Adventure
My Polynesian Adventure Story
This past week I visited Oahu for the first time. I even brought my mom along for the experience. I personally wanted to thank Keao, the driver and guide for our Oahu Grand Circle Island Tour. He took the time to get to know each of us personally, called us by our names, and was really easy to get a long with. The knowledge he has and the history that he passed on during the tour was amazing. We had plenty of time at each stop to take in all the sites. I had a wonderful time and will be back to Honolulu in the near future. Oahu is a beautiful place. I will defiantly take another tour with Polynesian Adventure Tours and hope that I will get Keao again, or at least a tour guide as great as he is. Mahalo Keao, for a very memorable time!
